Rule 2.00 APPEAL

An APPEAL is the act of a fielder in claiming violation of the rules by the offensive team.

DISCUSSION
There are no offensive appeals, only appeals by the defense.

There are three types of appeals:
(1)    batting out of order [Rule 6.07];
(2)    runner failed to touch or retouch a base [Rule 7.10]; and
(3)    check swing [9.02(c)].

The rules also refer to a manager's appeal to an umpire concerning a conflict with the rules [Rule 9.02]
